By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access or use the service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using ResumeForge (the “Service”), you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age, that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms, and that you agree to be bound by them. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

ResumeForge is an online resume builder that allows users to:

• Create professional resumes using pre-designed templates
• Fill in personal, professional, and educational information
• Download a formatted PDF resume
• Save and manage multiple resumes (registered users only)

Guest users may use the full builder without an account. Their data is stored locally in the browser and is not transmitted to our servers except during PDF generation. Registered users may save resumes to their account for future access.

3. User Accounts

When you create an account with ResumeForge, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate
• Maintain the security and confidentiality of your password
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms or remain inactive for an extended period, with reasonable prior notice.

4. User Content and Intellectual Property

a) Your Content

You retain full ownership of all content you submit to ResumeForge, including your resume data, personal information, and uploaded files (“User Content”). By submitting User Content to our servers, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your User Content does not violate any applicable law or infringe on the rights of any third party.

b) Our Intellectual Property

The ResumeForge website, resume templates, design system, logos, and all other content created by us are the intellectual property of ResumeForge and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from our proprietary content without our prior written consent.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use ResumeForge to:

• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
• Infringe the intellectual property rights of others
• Transmit spam, malware, or any malicious code
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or another user’s account
• Use automated bots or scrapers to extract content from our website
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity
• Engage in any activity that disrupts or degrades the performance of our service

6. Free Service and Advertising

ResumeForge is provided free of charge to users. To support the cost of operating this service, we display third-party advertisements powered by Google AdSense and potentially other advertising networks. By using our service, you acknowledge and agree to the display of such advertisements.

Advertisements are clearly identified as such and are separate from our content. We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements or the products and services they promote.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

ResumeForge is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to:

• Implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose
• Warranties that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any content
• Warranties that using our resume templates will result in job placement or interviews

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ResumeForge and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, or goodwill — arising out of or related to your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total cumulative liability to you for all claims arising from the use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or USD $10.00, whichever is greater.
